Always move roadkill off the roads
Coming home today from picking up my recovered TNR kitty, I saw two Black Vultures almost hit by a car. I pulled over, and found the carcass of an opossum in the middle of a busy road. I grabbed the body by the tail (the least eaten and most intact body part on this occasion) and moved the poor creature to the wide patch of grass next to the road. The vultures were no happier with my intervention than the vehicular disturbance just moments before, but at least I could continue on my journey knowing at least in this one place, one animal's death would prematurely and unnecessarily invite another.
