From 2008 to 2011 I was honored to be one of the Wildlife Care Center's wildlife ambulance drivers. The job consisted of a full day of driving across three counties in South Florida, responding to requests for help for injured, orphaned, or otherwise incapacitated wild animals.

The rehabilitation hospital in Fort Lauderdale was acquired by HSUS in 2010, and continues to provide some wildlife services to the human and nonhuman residents of the area.
